These lines of William Shakespeare looked meaningful while writing about Tennis Star Sania Mirza. Her horoscope indicates that the dasa of yogakaraka Venus was running at the time of birth. Her supportive parents also helped her become a female tennis superstar of India. Born to parents, father Imran Mirza, a sports journalist and mother Nasima, it was her father Imran who initiated her into the game and always encouraged her to be the best.
The young Indian women tennis sensation, Sania Mirza, was born in Mumbai on November 15, 1986. Presently, the highest ranked Indian in the game, she started playing Tennis at the tender age of six at the Nizam club in Hyderabad.
The details of her horoscope are as follows:
The lagna rising is Capricorn.
Exalted Mars is placed in Lagna.
Jupiter is placed in the 2nd house
Rahu is placed in the 3rd house
Moon is placed in 4th house

There are powerful yogas in her horoscope. The prominent among these is “Ruchaka yoga” (Panch Mahapurusha yoga) formed by the placement of exalted Mars in Lagna. This yoga makes her a good sportsperson and gives her an aggressive temperament in pursuing her game.
“Malavya yoga” is formed by the placement of Venus in its own sign in the 10th house. It is also a prominent Panch Mahapurusha yoga. This combination makes her spiritually inclined and conversant in spiritual text. As per reports, she is very religious and never misses her daily prayers and Quran reading. This combination also gives her name, fame, money and popularity.
“Budha- Aditya yoga” is also formed in her horoscope by the conjunction of Sun and Mercury. This makes her a person of sharp intellect. There are other yogas like Neech Bhanga Rajya Yoga and Vipreet Rajya Yoga in the horoscope signifying her capability to fight back all odds and emerge as a winner. There is formation of Karma Dharam Adhipati Rajya Yoga and Dhan Yoga making her successful in her career and also giving her good luck with respect to finances. Rahu and Saturn are also well placed in 3rd and the 11th house respectively.
However, the horoscope suffers from Manglik dosha (formed by placement of Mars in the Lagna) causing issues relating to marital life, Kemdrum yoga (formed because of no planet on either side of Moon other than Rahu and Ketu), causing loneliness in personal life.
She was born in the Mahadasa of Venus that happens to be yogakaraka planet for her. The placement of Venus in the 10th house forms both Karma-Dharam Adhipati Rajya Yoga and Malavya Yoga which were instrumental in early start of her career. She started playing tennis when she was barely 6 years of age. She played her first international tournament in 1999 when she represented India at the World Junior Championship at Jakarta when she was about 12 years of age.
A big boost came in 2002 when Paes decided to take her as his mixed doubles partner at the Asian Games. The duo went on to claim the bronze medal. The rise has been steady since then. In 2003, Sania at 16years did India proud by becoming the youngest and first ever Indian to figure in the main draw of the girls' doubles junior Wimbledon tennis championship and winning the Grand Slam title. Her achievements in sports front has been numerous, the information given above are only indicative to justify the promises of her horoscope.
Sania Mirza has been recently in news because of her engagement with her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza. She exchanged rings with Sohrab in Hyderabad on Friday, 10th July 2009. At the time of ring ceremony, the 7th lord Moon was afflicted by Rahu and the 7th house was in Pap-Kartari. This indicates that the couple may undergo severe ups and downs in their relationship.
Exalted Mars in Lagna (in natal horoscope) makes her dominating by nature. The placement of 7th lord Moon in 4th house makes her enjoy family life also. Michael Jackson was born on 29th August, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, USA.
The details of his horoscope are as follows:
The lagna rising is Virgo
Rahu is placed in Lagna

The reason I have picked up this horoscope for analysis is because it reflects the classical principles of Vedic astrology clearly. Hence, it is a good horoscope for academic interest also.
In my article “Rahu and Film Industry: Astro Analysis” I stated that for artists, the role of Rahu is of paramount importance. Rahu is placed in the lagna in the horoscope of Michael Jackson. Classically, Rahu in lagna also signifies a person who keeps on changing his looks. Michael Jackson took help of plastic surgery to transform his personality completely from a Negro to a white. Then he changed his looks again to look like an American lady.
Mercury in the Nakshatra of Ketu and Moon-Mercury affliction are classical combinations for skin problems. In the horoscope of Michael Jackson, Mercury is placed in Magha Nakshatra which is ruled by Ketu and there is affliction of Moon and Mercury in 6/12 axis. We have witnessed that as a result of numerous plastic surgeries that Michael Jackson underwent; his skin was full of diseases. Rahu in lagna is also a combination for diseased skin. The medicines that he took also affected his skin adversely.
Moon in the 6th house suggests Bala Aristha yoga as per Vedic astrology. We have heard stories of childhood misery and abusive father which Michael Jackson has affirmed many times. His personality was greatly affected by his family history.
Michael Jackson made major strides in his career in the Mahadasa of Saturn which started on 12th January 1979 and continued up to 12th January 1998. He earned his fortunes during this period.
In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African American entertainer to amass a strong following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" helped bring the relatively new channel to fame.
Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson a big name on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across several generations.
In his horoscope Saturn is the benefic 5th lord placed in the 3rd house signifying grand success in performing arts (Please refer to article “Transit of Saturn, Bollywood during Recession). He was a great crowd puller and tickets for his show sold like hot cakes.
Being under the influence of Saturn he always had keen interest in charities also. On May 14, 1984, Jackson was invited to the White House to receive an award presented by U.S. President Ronald Reagan. The award was given for his support to charities which helped people overcome alcohol and drug abuse. Jackson donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations and charity singles. He also supported 39 other charities.
Jackson co-wrote the charity single "We Are the World". The single became one of the best-selling singles of all time, with nearly 20 million copies sold and millions of dollars donated to famine relief.
However, the dasa of Mercury from 12th January 1998 did not give very good results to him. The reason being that even though Mercury happens to be the lord of the lagna it is placed in the 12th house and happens to be retrograde.
Mercury being placed in the house of expenses and losses made him behave most extravagantly during its dasa. He also had to fight legal battle against child abuse and his image was negatively affected during this period. The person who grossed more than 100 million dollars earning per year became debt ridden when the dasa of Mercury placed in the 12th house started on him.
He died when the dasa running on him was Mercury / Rahu. In Vedic astrology Rahu means poison. Overdose of drugs / medicine comes under the ambit of Rahu. Hence, it is believed that he had a cardiac arrest as a result of overdose of pain killers.

Mamta Banerjee was born on 5th January 1955 at Calcutta in West Bengal. She is the founder and chief executive of Trinamool Congress. She is noted for her opposition to Special Economic Zones and industrialization at the cost of agriculture and agricultural laborers.
West Bengal is under the rule of the left front government from about 30 years and Mamta Banerjee is waging a relentless battle against the government since then. Trinamool had only one seat in the last Lok Sabha but her fortunes improved dramatically in the 2009 parliamentary elections. Her party Trinamool Congress in alliance with the Indian National Congress and SUCI made a huge dent in the left dominated West Bengal.
Trinamool congress performed well in the parliamentary election, bagging 19 MP seats. This was the best performance by any opposition party in West Bengal since start of left regime. Till date the congress victory of 16 seats in 1984 on sympathy vote after the assassination of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, was considered the best opposition show.
As a railway minister Mamta Banerjee presented her first budget in 2000 under the Prime Minister ship of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In it she fulfilled many of the promises to her home state. She introduced 19 new trains from 2000-2001 fiscal year. But, the focus was mainly on West Bengal
Saturn is right now transiting from the 4th house from the natal Moon in her natal horoscope. Jupiter is transiting from the 10th house, indicating that even though she has got the railway ministry by her excellently good performance in the 2009 parliamentary election; her heart is still in the electoral politics of West Bengal. She may be eyeing to overthrow the left front government for which a final push is required because the government and the party in West Bengal has suffered a series of reverses. The Chief Minister-ship of West Bengal may be her main agenda.
The transit of Jupiter and Saturn are both influencing the 10th house from her natal Moon. This indicates that the electoral fortune for her will be good even in the assembly elections of West Bengal. Hence, it is likely that Mamta Banerjee will use the portfolio of Ministry of Railways to give sops to West Bengal to further her electoral prospects.
Saturn is the yogakaraka planet from her rashi. This connects Mamta Banerjee to the poor and grass root politics. Hence, her stint as a railway minister and the railway budget is likely to bring good schemes for poor people. Railway Ministry will not only be treated as a profit making organization, it will also be used to help upliftment of masses by providing them with cheap means of transport and more travel facilities. The schemes for youth and for the poor people having an income of less than Rs 1,500/- per month are in the same category.
The railways have been performing well for the last few years with lots of surplus created every year. The surpluses may be affected by the implementation of the 6th pay panel awards. But, this is not the headache of the railway minister. She has not increased passenger fares and freight charges. However, the railway minister should focus on increasing the length of the railway system across the country. The length has remained almost stagnant from the time the British left the country in 1947. She needs to focus her eyes on the entire nation because development of infrastructure is urgently needed. She is a minister of the leading infrastructure sector of the country.
